Sheryl Hoo M.A

Osteopathy

Techniques:

OSTEOPATHY is a manual and holistic [whole body] medicine that uses refined ‘hands-on’ techniques to balance & integrate the systems of the body in order to achieve mobility and structural stability as well as enhance overall well-being. Its unique philosophy focuses on interrelationships and causal factors as opposed to symptoms & localized discomforts. It is an approach that uses precise palpation & adjustment techniques and is based on an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. A consultation consists of an in-depth evaluation and treatment that lasts 60 minutes. Osteopathy works on the body’s muscular, articular, visceral, circulatory, lymphatic, energetic and nervous systems—including cranio-sacral work as an inherent component. This approach is complementary to traditional medicine and other healing therapies.

Kevin Lennox EST

Shiatsu Therapist

Technique:

Shiatsu: Shiatsu is a Japanese therapy that has evolved from acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

During a treatment, pressure is applied with the palms, thumbs, elbows, and knees to relax the muscles, and sooth the nervous system, restoring the body’s natural rhythm. Whether you suffer from injury, chronic illness, pain, or stress, Kevin supports your body’s own healing with a caring and considerate touch. Take time to relax, and uncover your body’s wisdom

Each shiatsu treatment begins with a simple interview to discuss the client’s concerns and any relevant medical history. For your first appointment, this will typically take 15 minutes in addition to your 1-hour treatment. The client relaxes on a comfortable mat on the floor, and the treatment begins with an abdominal assessment. The therapist will treat the whole body, tailoring the session to the individual’s needs and concerns.
